What is Consignment?
Consignment is when you bring us your maternity and children's goods, we inspect them, and if approved add them to our inventory system. When the goods sell 50% of the proceeds go to us, and the other 50% goes back to the consignor.
What Childrens and Maternity Goods to you Accept?
We accept boys' and girls' (0-12) and maternity clothes, childrens' shoes, baby furniture and accessories. Ellie's Enchanted Closet sets the price and the consignor receives 50% of the sale proceeds.
What Condition must my Children's and Maternity Goods be in?
Clothing should be in keeping with the season and current styles. All must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned, ironed, and in new/excellent condition. Items should be free from stains, fading, discoloration, snags, missing buttons, and odors. No hangers necessary. Items must be brought in flat and rack ready.
All baby equipment, gear and furniture should meet all current safety requirements and be free from defects. Please launder all fabric and wipe down items. Only name brand toys made in the last five years will be accepted.
What Children's and Maternity Goods are not Accepted?
We do not accept breast pumps, diaper disposal systems (such as diaper genies) or stuffed animals.
Can I just walk in anytime to sell my goods on consignment?
Because of the time it takes to inspect and inventory your items, we require that you make an appointment with us ONLY IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 2 LARGE BINS OF CLOTHING rather than just coming in with your goods. This allows us to staff our store accordingly. Please call us Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. to setup a consignment appointment.
How am I paid?
We can cut you a check, or you can spend your earnings on items in the store.
Please do not be offended if we cannot accept some or all of your items. We must rely on current need, customer requests and previous experience in determing what we will accept.
